My daughter loves this book. It is informative, but not boring, and covers a wide range of topics. It is a good book to read cover to cover, or to just look up a certain topic. It's a great book for any girl around 10 -14.
She brings it EVERYWHERE with her. I purchased this book as a gift for my 11-year-old niece after she told me she was looking for a "Chemistry" book at the mall bookstore. The content seems to be geared at her age group. After doing some research, I discovered that this book has a "secret" cover, which makes it look like a Chemistry book. This is her favorite gift, hands down. Topics include things like self-esteem, bullies, dieting, cliques, meang girls and gossip, manners and slumber parties. I wish I had a book like this when I was in fifth grade.
My mom and I both hate the book. I am a young teen girl and when i got this book from the library, a quick skim through it told me it looked cool. HONESTLY, take it from me. But when I looked closer, it was really inappropriate for girls of all ages. It talked about stuff like boys WAY TOO MUCH. don't even consider buying or even looking at this book. It is a fake.
This is the ONLY, ONLY gift she has ever mentioned later that she ACTUALLY liked. My niece is now 10 years old. I have gotten her a book, a toy, and some clothing for every single gift-giving event of her entire life. I have no complaints. :-)
Me,a12 year old,read this book and it was awsome.From the babysitting chapter to the chapter about makeup this book rocks.
